Obituary of Percival "Percy" Wallace Elmhirst

ELMHIRST: Percival Wallace "Percy" Longtime resident and businessman of Otonabee Township, loved and cherished by his family and friends, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2015 at the P.R.H.C. in his 88th year. Percy will be missed and fondly remembered by his son Barry (Marian), his daughters Leanne Berghout (Dirk) and Suanne Girard, his loving companion Rose Mackie, his grandchildren Kimberly Hutchinson (Tony), Kendra McMahon (Cody), Lindsay Warrington (Ben), Shawn Elmhirst (Natalie), Sarah Girard (Jason), Danielle Girard (Adam), Farrah Faux (Scott) and Derek Faux (April), his nine great grandchildren, his niece, nephews and friends. Percy always lived life to the fullest and with a smile. He had a passion for the great outdoors and was a true country gentleman. Percy loved people, music, dancing and entertaining friends and family with his poetry, jokes and stories. A Celebration of Percy's Life will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Keene United Church, 30 North St., Keene, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
