Obituary of Marion Yvonne Rattle

Rattle, Marion Yvonne (nee Lane) We celebrate the life of our dear mother, and grandmother, who passed away in Providence Villa in Toronto, Ontario on Tuesday June 30th, 2015 after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Mom was 79 years young. Marion was the beloved wife and friend of the late Arthur Harry Rattle for 56 years and is remembered with love by her children and their spouses: Carrie Rattle (Brian Lownds), Sherri Rattle (Jim Morrison), Kelli Pfeiffer (Greg Pfeiffer) and Brett Rattle (Freddie Stanley). Marion was devoted to her only granddaughter Maya Emily Pfeiffer. Sister to the late Bob Lane (Marilyn Roberts), Shirley Anderson (Jack), Barbara Catena (Paul) and remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Stella Lane and her father Orville Lane. Mom worked at Bell Canada for many years. She was known for her work ethic and her dedication to her family. She and Dad enjoyed travelling and she visited the Holy Land and the South Pacific. Mom attended Lorne Park Baptist Church in Mississauga for many years and later, Trinity United Church in Bobcaygeon. She loved to sing hymns in the choir and participated in the mass choir when the Reverend Billy Graham came to Toronto. Mom took a special joy in her pets and she loved nature and her garden. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
