Obituary of Jacob Lucas Stanley

STANLEY: Jacob Lucas October 21 1994-September 12 2015 On September 12, 2015 we were forced to say goodbye to Jake a little over a month before his 21st birthday. It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we mourn the unexpected passing of our son, brother and friend to many. Jake could always be counted on to make people laugh, pick up others when they were down, and put the people he loved before himself. He always took the time to get to know everyone he met, young or old, and had countless friendships from the Peterborough area all the way to Edmonton, Alberta. He touched the lives of many and inspired all by how hard he worked in Grand Prarie, and how determined and fearless he was throughout his boxing career. More than anything, Jake loved his family. He cherished his parents, Roger and Cindy Stanley, his grandfathers Gord Stanley and Paul Winger, and adored his grandmother, Nig. He idolized his brothers John and Joe Stanley, and always kept his sisters, Jessica Stanley and Brittany Coutts close to his heart. Jake will also be missed dearly by his aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends Mary Moncrief and Carly Evans, both of which he considered a part of the Stanley family. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Monday September 21, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Cremation. A reception will follow at the R.C.L. Branch #77, Lakefield.
