BOLTON: Orval Glen
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Extendicare, Lakefield on Saturday March 26, 2016. Orval Bolton of Burleigh Falls in his 92nd year. Orval was a flawless storyteller, and though not a highly educated man, there were none more learned and wiser when it came to the important things in life, such as family, hard work and respecting nature and our surroundings. Although life gave Orval many challenges, he faced them with no complaints and happily carried on. He was a deep lover of music and will be remembered by many for his excellent workmanship as a stonemason and carpenter. Loved and missed by his wife of 67 years, Grace Bolton (Menzies). Also sadly missed by his children Marion Crowe (Steve) of Burleigh Falls, Brenda Corner (Gord) of Douro, David Bolton (Lil Raposo) of Burleigh Falls, Carol Shewen (Grant) of Woodview and by his daughter-in-law Darlene Bolton of Big Cedar. Bompa and Bompie is remembered by Erin (Sam), Ben (Beth), Holly (Chris), Jeremy (Christine), Norman, Anson (Elisabeth), Eric (Brittany), Connor, Ryan (Laura), Ian (Kelsey), Carly and Lucas (Jasmine). Survived by his brother Milford Bolton. Predeceased by his daughter Lois (1996), son Glenn (2014), brothers Harold & Everett Bolton and sisters Doris Frankowski and Isabel Adlam. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Thursday March 31, 2016 from 6-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Lakefield on Friday April 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. A private family interment will follow. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church or the Kawartha Haliburton Trappers Association as expressions of sympathy.
