Obituary of Joan Agnes Beeton
Passed away peacefully in her 82nd year. Joan Beeton at Port Hope, ON. Beloved wife of John “Jack” Beeton. Much loved mother of Edward “Ed” Beeton (Mary) of Port Hope & Cynthia “Cindy” Scanlon (Mike) of Aurora. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin King (Rhea Kimla), Nicole Beeton (Zane Brown), Stacey Beeton, Gina Waduck (Jamie) and great grandsons Dylan & Kyle Waduck, and Dez Brown. Sister of the late Jeanne Crust and Marilyn Harrington. Survived by her brothers-in-law William Beeton, Roy Harrington, and Peter Stopp (Anne), nieces and nephews Maija Beeton-Bustanoby, Christopher & Andrew Beeton, Keith Crust, Teresa Patterson, Tracey Buttery and cousins Lois Hanna, Anna Marie Beeton, and Lynda Waterhouse. Mrs. Beeton was retired from the Durham District School Board as an Administrative Secretary after 28 years. After retirement, Joan enjoyed many years at Chandos Lake and her involvement with the Apsley Seniors ABC Club. Joan was a family oriented and loving lady who will be missed and remembered by all. A funeral service will be held at: THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen St., Lakefield, ON on Sunday the 18th of September, 2016, at 2:00 PM, with visitation to commence one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home. Interment, Apsley Union Cemetery for the family at a later date.
