My parents, Ken and Marie MacAlpine became very good friends of Jack and Sally Moodie back in the late 1940's and early 1950's in Kirkland Lake and I have only fond memories of them and their daughter Mary Ann. Jack and Sally were the nicest people and such a striking couple. Jack was a debonair gentleman with a winning smile and a sparkle in his eye and Sally was and I'm sure still is a lovely and elegant lady. On behalf of the MacAlpine family, (my brother Glenn and I), I would like to extend our condolences to Sally and to John and to all of the Moodie family members and on behalf of my parents thanks for your friendship.

My deepest condolences to Selma, John and family. Jack was a wonderful charismatic man, so generous with this kindness and smile! Jack was a connoisseur of life and one was drawn to his ever-centering presence. His zest for life was most infectious! Jacks sense of humour and enthusiasm was always delivered with a twinkle in his eyes - connecting with people in a pure genuine way. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Rest in peace Jack.
