Obituary of Peter Naef

NAEF: Peter Passed away peacefully at his home on White Lake on Monday March 13, 2017. Peter came to Canada in 1957 and worked as a farm hand on various farms in the area. He spent 21 years as a Zookeeper at the Toronto Zoo and was a lifetime member of the Durham Regional Aquarium Society. He had a passion for his hobby of breeding and raising tropical fish and loved to spent time on the hunt in the fall. Loved and missed by his wife of 53 years, Eva. Also missed by his children Barbara Jones (Jeff) of Hampton, Peter Naef (Sabine) of Switzerland and Ernest Naef of Cobourg. Loving grandfather of Bradley, Amanda, Anja, Owen and Kelsey. Survived by his sister Susie Reincke and his niece Karin. Predeceased by his parents. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday March 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception in the Heritage Room.
