Maureen & Family
We are so saddened to learn of Doug's passing, Doug and I met a few years ago at the rink and struck up an instant friendship on and off the ice,
Doug was a stand up guy a great conversationalist and a great defence man.
Our best memories with Doug was a bus trip to the Old Maple Leaf Gardens to play hockey with The Bobcaygeon Old Chums , tour The hockey Hall of Fame Then stop for dinner on the way home, it's a time we will never forget .

To Maureen and Family our sincere condolences.
We were shocked to hear about Doug who always appeared in the best health and humor of any of us at Victoria Place. Will miss seeing him most mornings when fetching the paper at 6:00 ish and Doug high stepping by during his daily vigorous walk, always with a smile and a friendly dig.
No one gave more of himself to his neighbors and Victoria Place than Doug, something we experienced first hand. A fine Person.

To Maureen and all your family....Cherylyn and I are so sorry for your loss. Doug was a great husband, father, grandfather, and defenceman extraordinaire. And such a great guy. To me he always looked 20 years younger than he was. Not sure if it was his hockey playing or maybe his positive outlook....always smiling. And we’ll never forget our visit together in Maui. My condolences to all of Doug's family. So sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of playing hockey with Doug in Bobcaygeon for many years. He was a fun guy to be around. Always had a smile on his face. You could tell he had a big passion for hockey. He loved to compete with the guys and age was just a number to him.
I'm sure he put the same passion into being a Husband,Father and Grandfather.

There will only be one Doug Robinson and Pat and I feel blessed to have known him.Doug was always here for us. Victoria Place didn't just lose a neighbor.They lost a solid friend to this entire community.On a personal note what I'm going to miss most of all was his sense of humor.It's because of people like Doug, Maureen and their son Scott that Pat and I feel like we became part of a family, not just a community.For that we will always be grateful.I know without question how proud he was of his family and that for me was and is an inspiration.Rest now Doug for you have truly earned it!
