Uncle Ted, my fathers brother.
I am so fortunate to have shared with you some great times in life. I was afforded the luxury on multiple occasions of visiting the ranch, both with Dad( Jack Pollock ) but also with cousin Don. Some of the best fish catch and eating I’ve ever had.
Over many years I have come to know you for who you became, but also who you were in your youth. Fantastic stories of which I will remember always. I loved how we poked fun, you old bugger and your retort of that’s mr bugger to you!
I loved the ranch, our home cooked meals, the beer we shared. The trips out in the pickup or 4 wheeler to collect minnows to fish the next day. To dropping trees and splitting wood so we could enjoy that beautiful wood stove at the ranch.
My wife Shawn and I have and will miss your visits to our homestead. To swimming in the back yard pool, a bon fire in the backyard at night. I’ll miss that you, Dad and Uncle Rob and I will no longer fish the Great Lakes for salmon and steelhead.
Yet again at my home I will miss those conversations of life with you. You would have been around 82 or 83 years of age. One very profound statement you made to both Shawn and I when we were going through some tough times in our life. You opened our eyes.
That statement.... you two have the rest of your lives in front of you. The rest of mine is almost all behind me.
We love you uncle, will remember you always. What ever journey your on now, we hope it’s as equal to or better then
the one we shared here with you.
Love you Uncle
Gary and Shawn Pollock.

Dear Pollock and Jackson Families...our sincere condolences to all. Ted was a great neighbour for many years on Bessie Avenue, always waving and stopping for a chat about hockey, snowmobiling, fishing...Recently enjoyed visits with him at Pinecrest when visiting Mom. Great guy...a life well lived. May all your happy memories comfort you in the days ahead.
