November 30, 1921 – February 26, 2021, Husband, Dad, Shomis, Grandpa, Chi-Shomis, Great-Grandpa, Great-Great-Grandpa, Uncle, Warrior, Veteran, Small Engine Mechanic, United Church Minister and Good Friend. Predeceased by his wife, Elva, his daughter, Lovenia, his grandson Jeremy, his parents and siblings, Murray is survived by his 4 daughters Joanne (Phillip), Dixie (Jerry), Althea (Dennis) and Mary and 8 sons Dan, James (Michelle), Elmer (Kim), Lorenzo (Jodi), Wes (Leona), Mark (Carol), Arnold (Stacy), and Christopher and saw over 50 grandchildren born. In his long life, he welcomed his children’s grand-children’s children. His 100 years on this Earth saw the advent of technology from the common use of cars, and telephones in homes, to the development of the internet and computers and he embraced it all with a curiosity for how it worked. He was a signalman in the Second World War and shared his stories with all who showed an interest. His many careers involved canning peaches, making cranberry relish for all the world, fixing cars, and working at Outboard Marine. He had a mischievous streak and a generous soul always searching out adventure. Friday February 26, 2021 Murray began his journey for the spirit world knowing he was loved by his family. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation will be held by at CURVE LAKE CHURCH on Tuesday March 2, 2021 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and on Wednesday March 3, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Due to COVID restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. ONLY THOSE WITH AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE ALLOWED IN. TO SECURE A DESIGNATED TIME TO PAY YOUR RESPECTS, PLEASE BOOK ONLINE at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com. All visitors must remain in their cars in the church parking lot and only come to the door of the church at their designated time. Everyone must wear a mask. The funeral service will be held at CURVE LAKE CHURCH on Thursday March 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The public can view the funeral service by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com beginning on Friday at 9:00 AM. Interment Curve Lake Cemetery.
