Kim wrote this to us all who loved him, a couple of years ago, around his 98th birthday. It is hard to think of him gone, he had so much life in him, always.
"I'll bring it now to mind ! And to my friends around the world I'll raise a
glass of wine !
God bless you all, and keep you well, whatever comes your way.
To everyone among my friends I still have this to say:
Despite the ups and downs of life, as long as I have you,
I'll face the future with a grin, and to that pledge be true."
Kim and Kate lived with my grandmother, Winifred Rushforth, when Kim was studying in Edinburgh, Scotland. From that family connection, and then a reconnection through friends and the Grove, Kim and Kate became my 'adopted parents' from 1975 until now. They adopted me, and my children, and will be remembered by us all for their sense of fun, good humor, and kindness.
