My sincerest condolences Margaret and family. Bob was always fun to talk to when we met up at family functions, usually at Aunt Pat’s for her New Year’s Open House. He loved to reminisce about family times at Norway Lake which I was too young to remember!

Thanks to everyone for your donations, gestures, tree planting, flower sending, and especially your comments. Dad would be very happy. ( Funny, when I looked at all of the "gesture" pictures, this one jumped right out at me. It reminded me of the fishing rod and wicker fish basket that my Dad & Grandpa used to have full of trout).

So sorry to see that Bob has passed. Remember Bob with much affection from his days at GE High and the positive energy he put into making that 1990s educational program such a huge success. Bob was a success in everything he did because he was never outworked and he had the communication skills to make others believe in what he was doing. The world needs more Bob Bruces, not less. Bob congratulations on your trip through life. Few did it better than you and so I am giving you a 100%. How about that, Bob?

i am so sorry to hear off your passing. Your hard work to bring earth day to tens of thousands of peterborough students was amazing. we laughed and joked as we packaged up the supplies for each school, and then set out to deliver them.
There are trees all over town at various schools that will stand for a hundred years, each a testimonial to your love of nature and desire to see Peterborough green.
I well remember our many conversations on the phone as we first talked business, and then just talked, sometimes about nature, and sometimes about our shared interest in the Army.
I know for certain that Peterborough is a better city for you having lived here.

I'm very sorry for you family's loss. I have many great memories of Bob on hunting and fishing trips (I was the kid in the backseat of the car or boat). Also many fond memories of time spent at the hunt camp. Bob had a great sense of humour and was a true outdoorsman.
