Passed away suddenly at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday June 5, 2021. Peter Northey of Stoney Lake in his 78th year. Peter grew up in Lakefield before moving to Oshawa where he worked at General Motors for 37 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of the A.A.C.A., Ontario Division, an avid hunter and enjoyed boating with his family.
Peter is loved and missed by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Northey (nee Allen)
Lovingly remembered by his children Shelly Horner (Eldon), Alan Northey (Melanie) and Shawn Northey (Mary-Lou). Loving grandfather of Joshua, Daniel, (Ocean), Sam, Katie, Tyler, Brooke (Liam), Isabella and Adriana. Survived by his sister Anne King (Staff), brother John Northey, brother-in-law Ron Allen (Lynne), several nieces and nephews and his dear friends Ray & Susan Northey. Predeceased by his parents Fred Northey and Ivah Northey (nee Dunford). Cremation has taken place. A family funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
