Passed away at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, Peterborough on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Tony Van den Broek, formerly of Douro in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. Van Doormaal (2011). Loving Father of Tony (Sue) of Bridgenorth, Ed of Ottawa, Ben (Debbie) of Peterborough, Mike (Marlene) of Douro, and Angela (Keith) of Peterborough. Proud Opa of Deanna, Mark, Daniel, John, Marty, Jake, Nicholas, Ashley, and Grace and Great Opa of Lilyanna. Tony is survived by his sister, Jo, and his sisters-in-law, Adri of Holland, and Jane of Lakefield. Predeceased by seven siblings and five of their spouses. Tony will be forever missed and remembered by his extended family and many friends in Holland, Canada and beyond. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s at Fleming for their utmost care and compassion over the last ten years.

Due to COVID restrictions, visitation is limited to a specific number of visitors at a time. TO SECURE A DESIGNATED TIME TO PAY YOUR RESPECTS, PLEASE BOOK ONLINE at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com. All visitors must remain in their cars in our parking lot and only come to the front door of the funeral home at their designated time. Everyone must wear a face covering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Douro on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM. You are invited to watch the Mass through our website by clicking the link on Tony’s memorial page beginning Saturday, June 19th at 9:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Douro. Rev. Father Sany officiating.
