Very nice memorial for the Uncle who was a vital part of my mother's(Hazel Lane/Hibbard 1917 1973) family. She had a big role in caring for Gerry and Joan when they were infants. At 16 she had to deal with the loss of her dear little sister Joan.
I have fond memories of the big tall guy who walked with military bearing. I wish I had known him better.
Uncle Gerry was the last of my surviving uncles and aunts. In my family, his generation has now passed, and we, his nephews and nieces, and of course Rick, are now the 'older generation'.
Condolences to Rick and to Nancy. This kind of thing is never easy. Take good care.
