Vern was one of my father's cousins and I visited him several times in Canada and in 2011 he came to visit Sweden and we made a trip together in the southern part of his father's home country. We became really good friends and did get along very well together and I will surely miss him a lot. We sure had a lot of fun on our trips together both in Canada and Sweden. Rest in peace Vern! What a precious gift Vernon was to all of us! My (Marge's) fondest memory of Vernon is meeting him for the first time (when he and Dorothy lived in Peterborough) -- and the immediate feeling of love and genuine acceptance in the family❤️. Our sons were young then and loved how Vernon took them touring the canal, told them stories and went out of his way to include them. A true family patriarch that we miss dearly. Dana's fondest thoughts are of Vernon's talent and vitality - an inspiration to all of us to keep living our best life now. We celebrate Vernon's life and we cherish his legacy with all of you. Our lives are better having had Vernon in them. Hugs, loves and prayers from us to Kevin, Pat, Bentley, Annette and all the family.
