I had the privilege of knowing Christine for 10 years as part of the VON Peterborough, Victoria & Haliburton team of dedicated nurses. Her dedication to patient care and their families was her priority, giving the time they needed not only for their medical needs but more important to their emotional care. It was not unusual for Christine to work into the late evening so that each patient received the care they needed. There are times in our lives when we meet someone who have touched our lives and Christine was that person for me - I admired her commitment to nursing and to those nurses are there to serve. There are also those individuals we meet along the way that we cannot imagine the world without them, Christine was that person.
