Obituary of Richard Edward Ingram

INGRAM, Richard Edward “Ted”

It is with great sadness we inform you that on Thursday December 7, 2023, Ted Ingram passed away at Belleville General Hospital, with his family close by. He was in his 83rd year.   

Ted had been a dedicated teacher and coach at Lakefield College School for 25 years. His reputation for caring for students' success and wellbeing was only rivalled by his reputation for making bad puns! He was a tenor for the Peterborough Singers for 30 years and was a long-time member of the Kawartha Krocs Rugby Team. Ted was always ready to help a neighbour and volunteered in the community up until this summer.  His family was a source of strength and comfort. 

Beloved husband of Daphne Ingram (nee Renwick) for over 58 years.  Loving father of Nicola and Toni (Chris).  Dear grandfather of Torin, Kayli and Brianna.  He is survived by his brother Charles and predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Louisa, and his sister, Leonie.    

Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at the A.W. Mackenzie Chapel at Lakefield College School, 4391 County Rd. 29, Lakefield on Wednesday January 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
