Carol, Craig, Scott, Cheryl & Susan and families our sincere thoughts and prayers. Many positive memories of Earl, either teaching at NDHS, moving south on the 7th to milk cows or a warm smile and friendly hello at the arena watching hockey, the hair parlour, church, or the side of the rural road. Hard to lose a husband, father, brother, friend and neighbour. we wish we could be supportive in person, Murray & Beth Lobb.

Our memories of Carol and Earl are precious and special. Carol is my older sister and when our kids (Polly and Colin) were growing up, we loved spending our family holidays with them and their cousins at the farm. Earl used to let my husband Len drive the tractor and we all liked to move hay bales - we thought we were helping. Carol would magically come up with a feast for us all. Over the years we have enjoyed and appreciated Earl’s quiet good nature and friendship. We miss him already.

Uncle Earl was the absolute best. Honest, patient, kind, thoughtful, caring, and fun. I admired him so much, his work ethic and his ability to build and fix literally anything. I’m pretty sure that if he had wanted to he could have built a functioning helicopter out of old tractor parts. My love of rural Ontario and connection to my family’s farming roots is primarily because of him and the Oliver family farm. He made so much good in the world, and asked for nothing in return. He just loved to see people happy and excited about life.
Thinking of you all at this very challenging and sad time, what a huge loss for our family.
