Obituary of Valorie Mae Whetung
WHETUNG: Valorie Mae
Passed away at Hospice Peterborough on Tuesday December 24, 2024. Val Whetung of Curve Lake in her 77th year. Val enjoyed a long career in Health Care Management and when not working, she was an avid artist and potter. She loved nature and animals and became a staunch advocate for both. She is loved and missed by her children Dan McIntosh (Trisha Cruise) of Buckhorn and Catie O’Hara (Adam) of Inkerman. Also loved by her granddaughter Amelia Day. Survived by her sisters Vicki Whetung of Selwyn, Cindy Whetung of White Rock, B.C., brothers Mike Whetung (Sue-Anne MacInnes) of Peterborough, Tim Whetung (Linda) of Curve Lake and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Eleanor Whetung. Friends and relatives may call at the Curve Lake Church on Sunday December 29, 2024 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the church on Monday December 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Interment Curve Lake Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Curve Lake Community Centre.
